SHOULD AMODU BE SACKED?

Followers of nigeria football will agree with me that the most controversial debate in the country right now is wether to sack the coach of the nation senir national team the Super Eagles, Shuiab Amodu.To put things in proper perspective,this is the same man that qualified the Super Eagles to Japan/Korea 2002 world cup,only to be sacked few weeks to the mundial.Now Amodu had barely qualify the team for yet another FIFA world cup appearance in faraway kasarani stadium in Kenya than Nigerians back home have started clamouring for his head.
This may sound strange to novices of nigeria football but not at all to the initiated,because nigeria football fans are the most difficult to satisfy globally.In a. country where out of her 140m people can boast of about 100m football lovers,old and young,males & females.An average Nigerian fan want her darling Super Eagles not only to win convincingly,but also to out-play the opponents in all departments of the game.This will all know is not always easy in football nowadays with the suppossed gaps between the so-called minnows narrowing daily to the elite football playing nations.Hence the nigerian hot-seat is one of the hottest for coaches worldwide,almost at par with Real madrid's.
In all fairness,AMODU has done a fantastic job if you check his records with open mind.HOW MANY NATIONS WENT THROUGH THE QUALIFIER MATCHES WITHOUT A DEFEAT? After the spanish national team,& the Dutch,which other team can will confidently mention? Amodu's Super Eagles ofcourse!Even as impressive as the Three Lions under Capello,they still succumbed to defeat in kiev.Having said that,iti s clear Amodu deserves all our supports to give us the Super Eagles of our dream,starting in Angola in few weeks time.
